I bought it at the MBK department store in Bangkok, Thailand, probably around 2003. I didn't know anything about phones at that time, but it seemed okay and it was cheap.. I suppose the specs weren't very exciting compared to other phones at that time, but it was my first mobile phone, so I didn't care. At least I could call people now., especially girls.
The screen was monochrome and showed about four lines of text. Ringtones were monophonic and sounded like a music box having a breakdown, but I still thought it was great. Very light, about 80 grams, and it went a long time on one charge. I think it had some simple snake game on it, but I can't remember. No camera of course. It didn't occur to me to get something with a camera, or maybe I was just being cheap at the time.\
I kicked around South East Asia for a year or so then I lost it in a tuk-tuk taxi in Vientiane, Laos. It fell out of my picket. I remember it was the day George W. Bush was reelected for some weird reason. That was the day I lost my first phone. I hope somebody got some good use out of it in Laos.
